EE384A Winter 98-99
Network Protocols and Standards
The materials in this page were used in the EE384A class at Stanford University in
the Winter quarter of the 98-99 academic year by Prof. Ciro Noronha, with Benjamin
Chen as the TA.
As times go by, some technologies evolve, and some become less relevant. At the time
of this writing (Sept 2013), I would recommend skipping Lecture 5 (GARP/GMRP), and just
browsing through lectures 10 to 16C (ATM). GARP/GMRP are rarely, if ever, used in practice,
and ATM is disappearing (it lives mostly inside DSL these days).
