The materials in this page were used in the EE384A class at Stanford University in the Winter quarter of the 98-99 academic year by Prof. Ciro Noronha, with Benjamin Chen as the TA.

As times go by, some technologies evolve, and some become less relevant. At the time of this writing (Sept 2013), I would recommend skipping Lecture 5 (GARP/GMRP), and just browsing through lectures 10 to 16C (ATM). GARP/GMRP are rarely, if ever, used in practice, and ATM is disappearing (it lives mostly inside DSL these days).
